Description

This Cherry Kool-Aid Pie is a no-bake, refreshing dessert perfect for hot summer days. Made with a graham cracker crust, cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, black cherry Kool-Aid mix, and Cool Whip, it’s a quick and easy treat that requires minimal ingredients and prep time. Chill it for a few hours and enjoy a sweet, creamy pie with a fun burst of cherry flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 6 ounce pre-made graham cracker crust

Filling

  • 8 ounce cream cheese, softened
  • 14 ounce container sweetened condensed milk
  • 0.13 ounce packet unsweetened black cherry Kool-Aid mix
  • 8 ounce container Cool Whip, thawed

Garnish

  • 1 cup Cool Whip, thawed (optional for garnish)
  • 8 maraschino cherries with stems

Instructions

  1. Beat cream cheese: Using a medium size mixing bowl and a handheld mixer on medium-high speed, beat the softened cream cheese for 1 minute until smooth.
  2. Add condensed milk: Add the sweetened condensed milk and continue mixing for 1 more minute until completely combined.
  3. Mix in Kool-Aid: Sprinkle the unsweetened black cherry Kool-Aid mix into the mixture and mix until the color is uniform throughout.
  4. Fold in Cool Whip: Add the thawed Cool Whip and mix on low speed until the pie filling is well incorporated.
  5. Fill crust and chill: Spoon the filling evenly into the graham cracker crust. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours to allow it to set properly.
  6. Slice and garnish: Once chilled, slice the pie into 8 slices. Use a decorator’s bag or a quart-size ziplock bag with a corner snipped off to pipe the extra Cool Whip in swirls at the edge of each slice. Place 1 maraschino cherry on top of each swirl.
  7. Serve chilled: Keep the pie chilled until ready to serve for the best texture and flavor.

Notes

  • Store leftover pie covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • You can freeze the pie (without the Cool Whip and cherry garnish) for up to 1 month. Wrap tightly with aluminum foil and thaw overnight in the fridge before serving.
  • Substitute any Kool-Aid flavor you like for a different twist on this pie.
  • Use the plastic cover from the graham cracker crust package as the pie lid to keep it fresh in the fridge.
  • If freezing with the plastic lid, wrap the lid with aluminum foil to ensure tight coverage.
  • Garnish with corresponding fruit if changing the Kool-Aid flavor to match the pie’s flavor profile.
  • Keep pie chilled until served to maintain texture and freshness.
