Description

This Crock Pot BBQ Alfredo Chicken Spaghetti is a creamy, comforting dish combining tender chicken breasts slow-cooked to perfection, rich Alfredo sauce, smoky BBQ flavor, and crispy bacon, all tossed with tender spaghetti noodles for an irresistible meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup butter, cut into cubes
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 lb spaghetti noodles
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • ⅓ cup BBQ sauce
  • ½ cup shredded parmesan
  • 6 strips of bacon, cooked and chopped

Optional Toppings

  • additional BBQ sauce
  • additional cooked and chopped bacon

Instructions

  1. Prepare Crock Pot: Spray the inside of the Crock Pot well with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Add Chicken and Seasonings: Place the chicken breasts in a single layer at the bottom of the pot. Add chicken broth, butter cubes, chopped garlic, salt, and pepper over the chicken.
  3. Cook Chicken: Place the lid on the pot and cook on HIGH for 2 hours until chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  4. Remove Chicken: Use tongs to transfer the cooked chicken breasts to a cutting board and set aside.
  5. Add Spaghetti Noodles: Break spaghetti noodles in half and add them to the crock pot.
  6. Add Cream and BBQ Sauce: Pour the heavy cream and BBQ sauce into the pot with the noodles.
  7. Cook Spaghetti: Cover again and cook on HIGH for 30 minutes, stirring the spaghetti once approximately 15 minutes into cooking to prevent sticking.
  8. Slice Chicken: While the spaghetti cooks, slice the cooked chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
  9. Add Chicken, Cheese, and Bacon: After the 30-minute spaghetti cook time, add sliced chicken, shredded parmesan, and chopped cooked bacon to the pot. Stir well to combine.
  10. Final Cooking: Return the lid and cook on HIGH for an additional 15 minutes to meld flavors and finish cooking.
  11. Serve: Top with additional BBQ sauce and chopped bacon if desired just before serving. Enjoy your hearty BBQ Alfredo Chicken Spaghetti!

Notes

  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, you can reduce the heavy cream slightly or cook uncovered for a few minutes at the end.
  • Use gluten-free spaghetti noodles to make this dish gluten free.
  • For a smoky flavor without bacon, you can add smoked paprika or chipotle seasoning.
  • Make sure to spray the crock pot well to avoid noodles sticking to the bottom.
  • Breaking spaghetti in half helps it fit better and cook evenly in the crock pot.
  • This recipe can also be adapted to an Instant Pot by using the sauté function and pressure cooking the chicken first.
