Description

A refreshing and tropical Christmas Frozen Mango Margarita made with frozen mango chunks, blanco tequila, fresh lime juice, and a sweetener of your choice. Perfectly blended into a smooth, icy cocktail and optionally rimmed with Tajín seasoning for a festive touch.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb frozen mango chunks
  • 1/2 cup blanco (silver) tequila
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 4 small limes)
  • 12 tablespoons guava jelly (or agave, honey, or simple syrup) for sweetening, to taste
  • Ice, as needed

For Serving (Optional)

  • Tajín seasoning for rimming the glasses
  • Sliced lime and/or fresh mango pieces for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep the glasses: Sprinkle Tajín seasoning onto a plate. Run a lime wedge around the rim of two glasses and dip each glass into the seasoning, rolling to coat fully. Set aside.
  2. Blend the margarita: In a high-powered blender, combine frozen mango chunks, blanco tequila, freshly squeezed lime juice, and guava jelly (or chosen sweetener). Blend until smooth and well combined.
  3. Adjust consistency and flavor: Check the mixture's thickness and sweetness. If too thin, add ice and blend again to thicken. Add more sweetener if desired and blend briefly to combine.
  4. Serve: Pour the frozen mango margarita evenly into the rimmed glasses. Garnish with sliced lime or fresh mango pieces as desired and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Use guava jelly, agave, honey, or simple syrup interchangeably based on your preference.
  • If you prefer a thicker frozen margarita, add more ice in small increments while blending.
  • Tajín seasoning adds a spicy, tangy rim but can be omitted or replaced with salt if preferred.
  • Freshly squeezed lime juice is essential for authentic flavor; avoid bottled lime juice.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit tequila and add extra sweetener or a splash of orange juice.
  • Serve immediately to enjoy the best frozen texture and flavor.
  • Use a high-powered blender for the smoothest consistency.
