Description

Crispy and flavorful Garlic Parmesan Wings baked to perfection with a fragrant garlic butter sauce, perfect for a delicious appetizer or main course.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Rub

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder (optional)

Wings

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Garlic Parmesan Wing Sauce

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Heat the oven to 200C/400F and arrange a rack in the middle of the oven for even cooking.
  2. Prepare Dry Rub: In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and baking powder if using to create the spice blend.
  3. Coat Wings: Place the chicken wings in a baking dish and sprinkle the spice blend over them. Toss to coat evenly. Drizzle olive oil over the wings and mix to coat all pieces thoroughly.
  4. Bake Wings: Bake the wings for 45 minutes until golden and crispy, turning halfway if desired for even crispiness.
  5. Make Garlic Sauce: While wings are baking, melt butter in a small pot over low heat. Add minced garlic and chopped parsley, stirring until fragrant. Remove from heat.
  6. Finish Wings: Remove wings from oven, pour garlic butter sauce over them, and sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
  7. Final Bake: Return wings to the oven for an additional 5 minutes until the sauce is absorbed and wings are crispy and browned.

Notes

  • To Store: Transfer leftover wings into an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 4 days.
  • To Freeze: Place leftovers in a shallow container and store them in the freezer for up to 6 months.
  • To Reheat: Reheat chicken wings in the oven or air fryer to maintain crispiness. Avoid microwaving as it makes wings soggy.
