Description

Oreo Snowman Cookies are a fun and festive treat made by coating Golden Double Stuf Oreos in white chocolate and decorating them with candy to create adorable snowman faces. Perfect for holiday parties or gifting, these cookies combine easy assembly with charming presentation to delight kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale

Cookie Base

  • 24 Double Stuf Golden Oreos

Chocolate Coating

  • 2 (10 oz.) bags Ghirardelli white chocolate melting wafers or white candy melts

Face and Decoration

  • 168 black sugar pearl sprinkles
  • 24 orange tic tacs
  • 2 ounces pack sour punch straws, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 48 M&Ms (use same color pairs for earmuffs)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the workspace: Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside to prepare for the coated Oreos.
  2. Melt the white chocolate: Place the white chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until completely smooth and melted.
  3. Coat the Oreos: Dip the Golden Oreos one at a time into the melted white chocolate, ensuring even coating. Lift with a fork and gently tap the fork on the bowl edge to remove excess chocolate, then place each coated Oreo on the parchment-lined baking sheets. Work in small batches for best results.
  4. Create the snowman face: While the chocolate is still wet, place two black sugar pearls for the eyes, an orange tic tac for the nose, and arrange five black sugar pearls below in a smile shape to form the mouth.
  5. Attach the earmuffs: Take a 2-inch piece of sour punch straw as the earmuff strap. Hold it in place on one side of the Oreo for about 10 seconds for the chocolate to firm slightly. Attach one M&M on each end of the strap to complete the earmuffs, using matching colors on both sides.
  6. Chill to set: Repeat decoration on all Oreos. Place the baking sheets with decorated Oreos into the refrigerator and chill for 10 minutes or until the white chocolate coating is fully set.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks, separating layers with parchment paper to prevent sticking or damage to decorations.
  • For a smaller batch, melt only a portion of the chocolate at a time to avoid waste;
  • Substitute black sugar pearls for the mouth with black confetti sprinkles or mini chocolate chips if preferred.
  • Orange sprinkles can replace orange tic tacs on the nose; specialty snowman decoration packs are also available.
  • Get creative with earmuffs using Skittles, peppermint candies, or Spree candies, and swap sour punch straws for Twizzlers pull n peel.
  • Instead of candy decorations, use colored cookie icing in orange and black to draw the snowman’s face.
  • Try different Oreo flavors like Mega Stuf, mint, peanut butter, or peppermint for unique themed snowmen cookies.
  • For gifting, insert a lollipop stick before chilling and wrap the snowman cookies in cellophane tied with colorful twine or ribbons.
