Description

Ramen Lasagna is a creative twist on traditional lasagna, using ramen noodles instead of pasta sheets. This easy-to-make casserole layers ramen noodles with rich tomato sauce, parmesan, and mozzarella cheeses, baked to bubbly perfection for a comforting and delicious meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Ramen Lasagna

  • 4 packets ramen noodles, discard flavor packet
  • 4 cups tomato sauce, divided
  • 2 cups grated parmesan cheese, divided
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease an 8-x-8-inch casserole dish with baking spray and place it on a baking tray; set aside.
  2. Prepare Ramen Noodles: Take each square block of ramen noodles and carefully break them in half through the middle.
  3. Layer First Ramen Layer: Place one layer of broken ramen noodles evenly on the bottom of the prepared casserole dish.
  4. Add Sauce and Cheese: Spread 2 cups of tomato sauce evenly over the ramen layer. Sprinkle 1 cup of grated parmesan cheese and 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  5. Create Second Layer: Add the second layer of broken ramen noodles over the cheese layer, followed by the remaining 2 cups of tomato sauce, 1 cup parmesan cheese, and 1 cup mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake: Bake the assembled lasagna in the preheated oven for 30 minutes until the sauce is bubbling and the cheese is melted and golden.
  7. Serve: Remove from oven and let it cool slightly before serving immediately for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • Use plain ramen noodles and discard the flavor packets to avoid overpowering the tomato sauce flavor.
  • For extra flavor, consider adding Italian herbs such as basil or oregano into the tomato sauce.
  • You can substitute the tomato sauce with marinara sauce for a richer taste.
  • Let the lasagna rest for 5 minutes after baking to set before slicing.
  • To make this dish gluten free, use gluten free ramen noodles and verify that the tomato sauce and cheeses are gluten free.
