Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Salted Caramel Pretzel Bark featuring creamy milk chocolate, crunchy pretzels, and gooey caramel drizzled on top. A perfect sweet and salty snack or dessert treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Layer

  • 12 oz milk chocolate chips

Pretzel Layer

  • 8 oz pretzels (half of 16 oz bag)

Caramel Drizzle

  • 11 oz Kraft caramels, unwrapped
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare baking sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside for easy removal of the bark later.
  2. Melt chocolate: Melt the milk chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each interval until the chocolate is smooth and fully melted.
  3. Spread chocolate base: Spread about two-thirds of the melted chocolate evenly onto the prepared parchment paper in the baking sheet to form the base layer.
  4. Add pretzels: Lay the pretzels evenly over the melted chocolate. Gently press them down so they stick into the chocolate.
  5. Melt caramel with cream: Melt the unwrapped caramels and heavy cream together in the microwave for 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth and pourable.
  6. Drizzle caramel: Drizzle the melted caramel mixture evenly over the pretzel layer.
  7. Finish with chocolate drizzle: Use the remaining melted chocolate to drizzle over the caramel and pretzel layer for a decorative and tasty topping.
  8. Chill and set: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator until the bark is fully set and firm, about 1 hour.
  9. Serve: Break into pieces and serve as a sweet and salty treat.

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate for best flavor and smooth texture.
  • If you prefer milk-free, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream and use dairy-free caramel.
  • To save time, caramel can be melted gently on stovetop over low heat instead of microwave.
  • Store bark in an airtight container in the refrigerator to keep it fresh and firm.
  • Add sea salt flakes on top of caramel drizzle for an extra salty kick.
